Camiguin Island Travel

The Island Born of Fire: #FeelCamiguin

From Cebu to Camiguin we booked a Philippine Airline flight that costs Php 1,698 pesos round trip.
Dated: January 25 to January 28, 2018

DAY 1:

Our arrival at the airport is 12:25PM so we rode a tricycle called "rela" going to Mambajao Market.
Then from the market we roam around to look for the cheapest restaurant. And finally we saw "Favoritos Restaurant " that serves chicken for 79 pesos only. It was a good lunch!

After that we rode a jeepney going to Mahinog market. The fare is 20 pesos per pax.

We really plan to stay on my dormmate's home for us to lessen the costs of our travel. And his home is like located at the last part of the barangay called Puntod.

So we rode a jeepney going to Brgy. Puntod, second to the last house near dam area. The fare is 15 pesos per pax.  We put our things on the house and then we travel to see the nearest attraction which is Mantigue Island.

We rode a motorcycle again back to Mahinog market and then a tricycle to the port where we can pay a boat to Mantigue Island.

Expenses: 600 pesos boat fare to Mantigue Island. The boat is good for 6 pax and you can stay on the island for 4 hours that is the time limit only. You can just walk the whole island, the sand is so powdery.

Around 4:30PM we already went back to Mahinog to buy some fish for us to cook for dinner.

We rented a motorcycle for 500 pesos to start our island tour.

First Stop: White Island - The boat fare is 450 pesos good for 6 pax

Giant Clams Sanctuary  - Entrance fee: 20 pesos per pax

We ate in the famous Northern Lights Pizza in Catarman and then went home since it rained so hard.

We went back to Mahinog riding a jeepney via Mambajao.

So roam around Camiguin Island twice and it was really very worth it. :)
